Allows you to cook foods with indirect heat. When paired with Kamado Joe’s Divide and Conquer Cooking System for 24″ Grills the Half Moon Ceramic Deflector will turn your kamado ceramic grill into a versatile cooking machine. With a single deflector plate you can create a two-zone fire in your Big Joe, or XLarge Big Green Egg. Sear your steak over the direct charcoal heat and then move it to the indirect side to finish cooking to your preferred internal temperature without burning the outside of the steak. With a pair of deflector plates you can turn your Big Joe, or XLarge Big Green Egg into a perfect smoker or wood fired oven, giving you all the indirect surface you need to smoke ribs and brisket or bake pizzas, pies or other baked goods.

Includes two half moon heat deflector plates.

Use the Kamado Joe Heat Deflector under the Kamado Joe Pizza Stone to avoid burning the pizza.

When used with the Divide & Conquer Flexible Cooking Rack (sold separately), it fits the XLarge Big Green Egg.
